In the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, securing the aviation industry has been a major area of focus for governments and airline companies. Many countries around the world began to re-assess their vulnerability and have since implemented measures that have improved aviation security and lowered the risk of hijackings or sabotage.

However, in spite of the improved security measures, the threat of terrorism to civil aviation remains great. In addition to traditional threats, a relatively new tactic has evolved: attacking planes with shoulder-launched surface-to-air missiles or MANPAD’s (man-portable air-defense systems).

ASI experts, having over 30 years of aviation security experience, that includes building Israel's Aviation Security System, have conducted detailed Security Assessments and prepared comprehensive Security Plans in full compliance with all international and national requirements for a number of major international airports and aviation security arrays.
