Advanced Security Integration, LTD. (ASI) is uniquely qualified in assessing and confronting the
risk of terror. It has the people, talents and expertise in the collection of information concerning
potential targets, determining the specific threats they face, assessing the related vulnerabilities
and consequences and recommending means for mitigating the risks to a minimum.
ASI team members completed detailed Risk Assessments for the 2004 Athens Olympic Committee
on over 70 facilities, including Olympic venues, major international airports, refineries and fuel
distribution outlets, port facilities, transportation systems, hotels, tourist sites and more.
Furthermore, ASI team members have conducted detailed risk assessment, in full compliance
with ISPS codes requirements, on a number of major European ports.
Risk Assessment –Briefing of Stages:
The analysis and risk assessments conducted by ASI consist of 7 primary stages:
• Information Gathering– Detailed process of gathering and analyzing the physical, structural,
functional and procedural details of the surveyed facility, asset or key national infrastructure.
• Criticality Assessment - identification of processes and critical activities that must be protected,
as well as the identification of essential assets that may constitute high-value targets.
• Threat Assessment – identification and analysis of the specific threats and scenarios relevant to
the surveyed object. This is based on the assessed capability and motivation levels to carry out
specific scenarios against critical targets. The analysis is based on evaluating past incidents and
assessing future trends.
• Consequence Assessments - definition of the extent of possible damage (consequence) that can
be anticipated as a result of an effectively executed attack scenario. The consequence is assessed
in terms of casualties, economic, environmental, public and symbolic effect.
• Vulnerability Assessments - identifies weaknesses of chosen targets by assessing, inter alia,
the directions, visibility, accessibility and ability to control the attack scenarios.
• Scenario prioritization - Based on the threat, consequence and vulnerability assessment scores,
a rating of scenarios, in descending order of the level of risk, is provided; this stage leads us to
a practical definition of the order of priorities and urgency, while providing clear and practical
directions for security planners.
• Mitigation strategies - Subsequent to prioritizing the attack scenarios, essential courses of
actions for mitigating vulnerability levels and consequence levels (resulting in lowering overall
risk) of a given target to a specific scenario.
It is noteworthy that our risk assessments are provided in the form of quantitative and qualitative
assessments that facilitate risk prioritization and can be used for the calculation of terror insurance premiums.
